Do the arithmetic before you sign. The headline is $19. An Organization seat with both intelligence add-ons is $82/month annual (~€74), and a Startup seat with both is about $77 (~€69) — four times the advertised price. Bundling knocks 10% off two add-ons and 15% off three. All recording users must sit on the same base plan, so one person needing Enterprise SSO moves everybody to $39. Belgian and EU buyers should also budget the consent work: two-party recording consent is your legal obligation, not Avoma's, and the product gives you the disclaimer toggle rather than the compliance.

Strengths
The MCP server is the reason to read this audit. Avoma hosts it at mcp.avoma.com, connects Claude and ChatGPT over OAuth with no scripts or API keys, exposes roughly a dozen read tools (meetings, transcripts, notes, scorecard evaluations, team usage metrics, deal stages) and — the part almost nobody else ships — three write tools that let an agent set a meeting's purpose, outcome and privacy. A settings dashboard shows every connection in the organisation, the scope granted, and the tool-call count per user. Most meeting-tool MCP connectors are read-only; this one closes the loop, which means an agent can classify and log calls without a rep touching the CRM. Underneath that, the product is broad for the money: recording across Zoom, Teams, Meet and WebEx with both bot and bot-less capture, transcription in 40+ languages with translation, AI notes on custom templates, AI Tasks that harvest follow-ups from meetings and email, scheduler with round-robin and lead routing, AI call scoring with timestamped evidence, MEDDICC/BANT methodology scoring, and forecasting. G2 puts it at 4.6/5 across 1,352 reviews with 97% at four or five stars, and rates it above Gong on quality of support (9.3 vs 9.2) and product direction (9.5 vs 9.0). Unlimited free viewer seats are a real cost lever for a small team where only three people run customer calls. Security is solid for the tier: SOC 2 Type II, GDPR controls, annual third-party penetration testing, encryption at rest and in transit, and a contractual commitment not to train models on customer data.
Honest dings
Three things to price in. First, the pricing ladder. $19 buys recording, transcription and notes — call scoring, deal risk and forecasting all sit behind $29-a-seat add-ons, so a rep who needs both lands at $82/month on Organization. The API, webhooks and MCP are also gated: none of them exist on the Startup plan, so the single best feature in this audit is invisible to the buyer the $19 price was aimed at. Second, the foundation is opaque and imperfect. Avoma has never named the models behind any of it, including June 2026's unspecified 'more powerful reasoning model'. Reviewers report transcription trouble with strong accents, non-native English speakers and technical vocabulary — for a Flemish or French team running English calls, test that on your own recordings before rolling out, because notes, scorecards and deal-risk alerts all sit downstream of the transcript. Competitor-published analyses put reliability complaints higher still, with bots joining late or dropping mid-call; treat those numbers as vendor-adjacent marketing rather than measurement, but the theme appears in independent reviews too. Third, data residency. All Avoma software runs in AWS facilities in the United States inside Avoma's own VPC. GDPR compliance controls exist; EU-resident storage does not, unless you take it up with their enterprise team. For a Belgian company recording client calls, that is a DPIA conversation, not a checkbox. Finally, evaluation runs one way: Avoma scores your salespeople in detail and gives you no instrument at all for scoring Avoma.
