“The AI-Native Enterprise RCM & Ambient Platform” — the vendor’s own words

The widest AI footprint in US healthcare and the thinnest proof behind it: 85% of revenue-cycle work runs without a human, no model is named, and no peer-reviewed study backs the notes it writes.

Best for: US health systems, especially non-Epic and MEDITECH shops, that are buying revenue-cycle automation first and getting the scribe with it, and that have procurement muscle to press for accuracy evidence and model disclosure in the contract. Individual clinicians can test the $59 to $89 Scribe tier for real. Not for the EU: data residency is US-only and there is no documented GDPR posture.

Only the Scribe tiers are vendor-published, in USD; the EUR figures are our conversion at roughly $1 = €0.86. Third-party sites quote $29, $45 and $79 for Scribe — none of those match Commure's own page. Everything above Scribe is a negotiated contract with no public anchor.

Strengths

Commure is the only vendor in this category that closes the loop from the spoken sentence to the paid claim on one data model: documentation, coding, charge capture, claim, denial, appeal, payment. That is a CFO purchase, not a CMIO purchase, and nobody else in ambient AI matches the span. The agent layer is the real product. Roughly 1,500 autonomous outbound payer calls a day, automated denial classification and resubmission, and a claimed 85%+ of revenue-cycle work with no human in the loop. Distribution is exceptional: HCA is deploying across 188 hospitals and 2,400 ambulatory sites, and HCA is also a shareholder. It is the strongest non-Epic answer in the market, with a versioned MEDITECH Expanse write-back roadmap that reaches Orders. Two things nobody else offers: Assist and Live tiers that put a real medical documentation specialist behind the AI draft, inherited from Augmedix, and published self-serve pricing at $59 to $89 a month, which is rare for a company valued at $7B in May 2026.

Honest dings

The evidence does not match the footprint. No peer-reviewed accuracy study exists. The 99.4% transcription number is self-published with no methodology, and the KLAS number people quote is a 2025 First Look with n=7 that KLAS itself marks 'limited data', landing exactly on the category average of 93.3. Abridge won Best in KLAS in 2025 and 2026 and has JAMA-published outcomes; Commure has neither. The models are never named, which for a system writing the legal record and generating billing codes is a real gap. The developer surface regressed: a FHIR-native open platform launched in 2020 now has a dead portal, no MCP, no A2A, no public SDK for the agent platform. Vendor-stability signals need pricing in too. A federal court granted a preliminary injunction in 2025 barring Commure from selling Strongline Pro after finding Canopy Works likely to succeed on trade-secret and reseller-agreement claims, and Strongline is still marketed on the site today. A second trade-secret suit, Adaptamed v. Commure, was filed in April 2026 alleging bot-scraping of a rival EHR using a customer's credentials. Add documented post-merger layoffs, 3.5/5 on Blind with management at 3.1, and a product estate stitched together from Athelas, Augmedix, Memora and PatientKeeper. Even the homepage cannot keep its own numbers straight: 130+ and 150+ health systems appear in different slots on the same page.
