NotebookLM was renamed Gemini Notebook in July 2026 — same product, existing notebooks unchanged. It has no standalone price: paid tiers are unlocked by a Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra subscription, and the prices listed are those Google AI plan prices, not a NotebookLM SKU. Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra are only available in specific regions. Organisations get it bundled through Google Workspace or Google Cloud.

Honest dings
The June 2026 agentic upgrade launched only for Google AI Ultra (~€92+/month) and top Workspace tiers — free and Pro users get last year's product for now. There is no API and no MCP, so it cannot be automated into workflows. Notebooks live in one flat list with no folders, a complaint Google has left unaddressed for years. Everything is processed on Google servers, and per-tier daily caps (50 chats/day on free) arrive faster than users expect.
