Orum
Ten lines at once with a billion calls of connect data behind them, and still no public API and no MCP server: Orum is the best pure dialer in the category and the narrowest tool on this table.

Strengths
Orum has done one thing since 2018 and it shows. Parallel dialing to 10 lines with sub-half-second bridging, human-versus-voicemail-versus-screener detection in 20+ languages, automatic dial-tree navigation, voicemail drops and dispositioning that write themselves back to Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong Engage and Apollo. The connect-side AI is backed by real published numbers: Boost Connect lifts connect rates a median 18% and beat manual number selection 98% of the time at Abstrakt Marketing; Hot Numbers reach 22% against a 5.3% cold-call baseline. The Salesfloor — shared calling rooms, live listen-in, real-time win feed — is the part competitors copy and the part remote SDR managers actually cite. Security is unusually complete for a company this size: SOC 2 Type 2 plus four ISO certifications including 27701, a public trust portal and a live status page. International calling covers 160+ countries.
Honest dings
The connection delay is the complaint that will not go away: 1–2 seconds of dead air between the prospect saying hello and the rep arriving, which G2 sentiment analysis logs as 105 mentions of call issues and 60 of connection issues across the review base. That is the physics of parallel dialing, not a bug Orum can patch away, and it is the first thing a prospect notices. The AI stack is thin in every direction that is not audio: no public API, no SDK, no MCP server, no models of its own that it will name, no retrieval, no fine-tuning, no reasoning tier. Compliance is pushed entirely onto the buyer — Orum ships spam-reputation monitoring but no abandonment-rate governor, no DNC scrubbing and no consent management, while the FCC caps abandoned calls at 3% of live answers and TCPA damages run $500 to $1,500 per call. Commercially it is annual-only with a seat floor, phone-only in scope so you buy three more tools around it, and the company has not raised since a $22M Series B in November 2022 while ACVs fell from a $55,000 peak to roughly $30,000.
